Alexandra Ilchuk

Tax Lawyer

Alexandra helps clients who are being audited or were reassessed by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) resolve their disputes with the tax authorities. She represents her clients at the CRA level, at the Tax Court of Canada, and at the Federal Court. 

Alexandra received her Professional LLM degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2020. Prior to that, she studied at MGIMO University, Faculty of International Law in Moscow, Russia, where she received her LLB degree in 2012 and her LLM degree in 2014. In her studies, Alexandra focused on tax law with particular emphasis on international corporate taxation and tax litigation.

Prior to joining Advotax Law, Alexandra worked for a global accounting firm in Russia. As part of the firm’s international corporate taxation group, she advised multinational corporations as well as high net worth individuals. While in law school, she worked as a Summer Associate for a global law firm in Paris, France. 

 

Alexandra is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation.

 

Alexandra is fluent in English, French and Russian.

 

Outside the office, Alexandra is interested in social media marketing and blogging, she also enjoys travelling.
