Taabish is a Tax Lawyer at Advotax Law. He represents individuals, corporations, and small business owners in a broad range of tax matters, including CRA audits, objections, voluntary disclosures, and appeals before the Tax Court of Canada. His clients include real estate investors, construction and service businesses, and self-employed professionals.
Taabish regularly advises on tax issues such as s.15 shareholder benefits, director’s liability assessments, employee vs. independent contractor determinations, real estate income tax and HST audits, and the tax implications of leaving Canada. He is also experienced in cryptocurrency taxation, bare trust reporting, and cross-border tax planning.
Taabish earned his Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School, where he completed every tax course offered and received the highest grade in International Tax. He also served as a research assistant to his tax law professor and was a student caseworker at the CLASP-KPMG Tax Dispute Clinic through Pro Bono Students Canada.
Prior to law school, Taabish completed his undergraduate studies at the University of British Columbia, graduating on the Dean’s Honor List.
Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, reading, playing soccer, and competitive gaming.
