Vokhid joined Advotax Law as an Articling Student in September 2023.
Vokhid holds a PhD in tax law from McGill University and a LLM in Canadian Common Law from Osgoode Hall Law School.
Before moving to Canada, Vokhid worked at PwC in Frankfurt, Germany, as part of its Global Tax Team, where he advised large multinational corporations on the tax considerations of cross-border investments in real estate.
Vokhid has been an Associate Professor at University of New Brunswick law school for close to 10 years, teaching Canadian tax law (individual, corporate, international) and corporate law. He also wrote and published on topics such as the Canadian General Anti-Avoidance Rule (GAAR), Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS), and automatic tax information exchange regimes.
Vokhid is also a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation.
He speaks English, Uzbek, Russian, and basic German.
